Sri Pada or Adam’s Peak is a religious site in Sri Lanka. To reach the peak it takes 12,500 steep steps up (and back down) if you approach from Ratnapura. Thousands of Buddhists climb this peak daily to pray at the Sri Pada temple. While on my way up (and back) I saw people of all ages, from kids to 85 year olds. Some take a few days to reach and others do it in one day, like I did.
